Christina believes effective care begins with a collaborative therapeutic relationship grounded in compassion, trust, and respect for each person’s experiences.
Inspiration
Christina’s inspiration for pursuing mental health care began with her work with refugees in Uganda. That experience shaped her interest in how people navigate trauma, displacement, and loss, as well as the relationships and community supports that help sustain them. It continues to inform her commitment to understanding each person within the context of their culture and lived experiences, and to helping patients recognize their strengths as they work toward healing.

Christina earned her Master of Science in Counseling from Cairn University and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) at Northern Arizona University. Her doctoral training builds on her clinical experience and supports her continued growth in assessment, psychotherapy, and evidence-based care.
Professional Experience
Throughout her nine years in the mental health field, Christina has worked in outpatient therapy, crisis intervention, and intensive treatment settings. Her experience includes individual and group therapy, supporting people with complex mental health concerns, and serving in clinical leadership and supervisory roles. These experiences have shaped her attention to both immediate needs and the broader relationships and circumstances that influence recovery. Her clinical approach incorporates cognitive behavioral principles, trauma-informed care, and an appreciation for the role of culture and lived experience in psychological well-being.
At Mental Health Center of America, Christina supports patients through therapy, clinical assessments, and intensive outpatient group work. She values opportunities to help individuals better understand their experiences and practice skills they can use in everyday life.
