Explore Benefits of
MHCA Wellness Therapies

Heat Exposure

Infrared sauna uses light to create heat whereas a traditional sauna uses heat to warm the air around you. Infrared sauna heats your body directly without warming the air around you making it more pleasurable for those who have a hard time tolerating high heat. Infrared heat penetrates your joints and muscles to help reduce pain, increase recovery time, and can increase human longevity. Learn about the health benefits of heat exposure.

Cold Exposure

Cold therapy, as experienced in the cold plunge or cryotherapy has a multitude of mental and physical health benefits. When you make proper cold water exposure a part of your daily practice, you unlock a multitude of health benefits. Cold shock produces hermetic stress which increases the brains sensitivity to endorphins, increases the production of a neurotransmitter called norepinephrine (focus, attention, vigilance, mood), and can increase stress tolerance.

Red-Light Therapy

Red light therapy (RLT), also known as photobiomodulation (PBM) and Near Infrared (NIR) has been shown to enhance mitochondrial function in cells. “Just like plants use sunlight to heal and grow, our body is able to harness specific wavelengths of light and turn them into cellular energy. This, in turn, stimulates your body’s natural healing processes.”

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Our body requires adequate oxygen to function at its best. We receive oxygen through the lungs, which is carried in the blood to the rest of our body. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is a non-invasive treatment that involves breathing 100% pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber, which is significantly higher oxygen levels than the normal air around you. Your body’s tissues require more oxygen to heal when you are injured or ill. HBOT promotes brain health and allows your body to fight bacteria and heal injuries through immune modulation and stem cell mobilization.
