
Lynn Maupin is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a clear mission: helping individuals achieve meaningful, root-level resolution of behavioral health symptoms through integrative, evidence-based care. She works extensively with first responders and military populations, focusing on guiding individuals through their experiences in ways that reduce reliance on medication and optimize resilience and growth.
Inspiration
With more than 25 years of service in the U.S. Army—including two mobilizations and a deployment—LTC Lynn Maupin brings firsthand understanding of military culture, operational stress, and leadership demands. She has served in Company Command at the 996th ASMC and currently serves as the Battalion Deputy Commander of Administration at the 7543rd MORU. She has been instrumental in leading and delivering suicide awareness education and prevention initiatives across multiple CEMARSG echelons, effecting culture change and advancing readiness at scale.
Education
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and a Master of Science in Nursing, along with three post-master’s certificates in Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine, and Family Medicine. Her clinical background includes extensive experience in endocrinology, advanced lipid management, and more than a decade in emergency medicine—providing a strong medical foundation that allows her to address both physical and mental health factors in an integrated manner.
Professional History
Madison has received specialized training in multiple trauma-focused treatments, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Written Exposure Therapy (WET), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal Regulation (STAIR). She has also completed training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Madison’s training equips her to deliver evidence-based treatments grounded in a strong research foundation, while adapting her approach to honor each patient’s distinct experiences and needs. She is committed to continuing to learn and grow to best support her patients.
While not a licensed therapist, Lynn provides psychotherapy within her scope as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, utilizing evidence-based modalities including EMDR, Ketamine-Assisted EMDR, Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT), Posttraumatic Growth (PTG) concepts, and TEAM-CBT.
