Joyce Morton

Joyce C. Morton, PMHNP is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides compassionate, evidence-based care to adolescents, young adults, and adults. She specializes in the evaluation and medication management of a wide range of mental health disorders and is committed to delivering up-to-date treatment in a respectful, patient-centered manner.

Inspiration

Joyce’s interest in mental health was shaped by personal experiences and further strengthened during her nursing education, where she developed a passion for working with individuals and families affected by mental illness. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from South Dakota State University and became a licensed registered nurse in 1996. Early in her career, she worked in medical-surgical nursing before transitioning to inpatient psychiatric care in Utah and Idaho. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of South Alabama in 2008 and became board certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

Professional Experience

With more than 25 years of experience in behavioral health, Joyce has worked in a variety of clinical settings across Arizona. Currently practicing at the Mental Health Clinic of America in Mesa, Arizona, Joyce partners closely with her patients to help manage conditions such as depression, anxiety, and other psychiatric disorders, supporting improved functioning and quality of life.

Personal Interests

When she is not busy working and doing things at home she enjoys sewing and making flower arrangements. She likes to do crafts of all kinds. Spending time with family and grandkids gives her great pleasure. She enjoys going to theater productions.
